What is a Mentor? |
A trusted advisor who can assist you in transitioning into a new profession in the private or government sectors – or assist you with the return to military service and the COAD / COAR process if needed. |

Who are the Mentors? |
Former military vets (most are West Point graduates) who have gone on to have successful careers within private companies and/or government organizations. |

How Can They Help You? |
At your request, a mentor will be assigned to provide one-on-one support to…
· Help you and your family navigate and access the network of resources and benefits that are available to you in the Greater Richmond area.
· Be a sounding board for you and your family’s ideas, questions and concerns. · Support you in thinking about and making decisions concerning your future – as well as your efforts to achieve them.
· Help you identify potential internships to evaluate potential career choices.
· Provide access to networks of private companies or government agencies as a part of your future job search. |

What Happens When You leave the Richmond Area? |
The WWMP has access to a growing nationwide network of mentors. While you can still maintain your relationship with your original mentor, we will do our best to find and provide a new mentor at your final destination to provide continued support and assistance.
