Government and Private Positions Available for Qualified Wounded Warriors

1. Production Controller, NAVFAC Annapolis. GS7. This is a customer service oriented position and requires the ability to use a computer with specific attention to entering information in a project database. Excellent entry level position. 2. Performance Assessment Representative, NAVFAC Annapolis, GS9/11. This is a career ladder position that participates in pre-bid, pre-construction, pre-performance conference to discuss unusual construction/maintenance features and requirements for compatibility with administration of quality assurance methods and procedures. If the candidate had a background in construction, quality assurance, etc. I am sure it would be most welcome.   • 1 year of specialized experience at or equivalent to work at the GS-12 level.
  • Specialized experience is experience directly related to emergency management activities of local, state, and/or Federal agencies. Examples of specialized experience are: Development of technical and non-technical readiness capabilities and procedures for a local, state, and/or Federal government organization.
  •  Implementation of emergency management regulations for a local, state, and/or Federal Agency.  
  • Establishing standing operating procedures for a local, state, and/or Federal Agency office for regulatory readiness and response to natural or man-made disasters.
  • Development of occupant emergency plans and programs including evacuation, shelter, and contaminated environment plans and procedures.
  • Development, evaluation, and/or participation in a range of disaster response related exercise events.  
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of technical and non technical readiness capabilities and procedures for emergency operations centers.

 

  4. We are still looking for great admin support for a budget office (GS9) at the Washington DC Navy Yard.  I had sent the information out before, but we are still sourcing candidates. 5. VA Acquisition Academy--Frederick, MD, still has a few seats left! What a great opportunity. - start at a GS5 and get paid to learn/be certified in govt acquisitions.  - sign a mobility agreement for positions all over the country: you are guaranteed a position upon completion. - full performance is GS11-- attained in 3 yrs.   - 50% or more disabled veteran (30% or more may be considered- preference given to combat wounded/ill/injured.) -female candidates encouraged to apply.  The next class starts 26 OCT 11. 7. Logistician. Contract position in San Diego. Looking specifically for a disabled veteran, preference given to combat wounded/ill/injured. I don't have a lot of detail, but am looking for someone with that skill set.
