Metro DC, Sales Engineer  
 
Anakam is seeking a Sales Engineer to support our Federal sales organization servicing a variety of Civilian Agency customers. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Anakam sales team and will identify and assist in the development of new business opportunities.  Location:  Washington D.C. Metro Area.
 
The Sales Engineer must be able to demonstrate Anakam's technology and successfully position and sell the overall value of the Anakam Suite of products to customers.  Additionally, this individual will be responsible for assisting in responses to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs. 



Primary Responsibilities:
 
·         Support Sales team by providing technical closure and helping meet quota goals.
·         Respond to technical issues and coordinate and oversee resolution of problems. 
·         Provide Pre and Post Sales support by responding to RFPs and delivering technical      presentations to generate customer interest.
·         Prepare high quality, accurate and timely responses to quotes received from customers.
·         Oversee post-sales activities including implementation when required.
·         Follow-up with customers in order to answer questions, obtain forecasts, insure customer satisfaction and increase market share.
·         Obtain technical expertise for all Anakam products supported.
·         Must be capable of achieving IDM product knowledge, and full understanding of the competitive market space. 
·         Prepare and deliver presentations to new and existing customers to provide technical training and to generate interest in new products.
·         Ability to wear many hats, such as provide post-sales assistance support if required including product introductions, product migration support, field training, documentation and upgrades, and distribution of technical materials and software.
·         Provide quality reporting and documentation on product feature requests, procedures, product customization, datasheets, and whitepapers.
·         Work in coordination with the Account Delivery and Engineering teams to best maximize technical resources.
 
Requirements:
 
·         A minimum of five years experience that should include experience in some of these areas: Sales, Sales Engineering, System Engineering, Systems Analysis, IT Security, or Product Management.
·         Experience in working with DOD, Federal, or Civilian Agencies. 
·         Must have a track record of successful technical solution selling in the federal government.
·         Laser focus for achieving technical closure.
·         Second factor authentication (and/or) Identity Management experience is required. 
·         Sales ability and the ability to develop business and technical relationships
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·         Highly motivated self-starter, independent, and comfortable working directly with customers.
·         Must have a proven track record of being a self starter, and a team player
·         Experience with and be capable of supporting multiple customer accounts.
·         Strong communications skills and positive professional presence for customer interaction.
·         Experience presenting via remote tools (WebEx, Go2Meeting, etc) 
·         Experience in providing technical presentations to large user groups
·         Have ability to learn and stay up to date on federal, healthcare, and privacy regulations (HIPAA, OBM, FISMA, FFIEC, ARRA, and PCI) and how it will affect the authentication market space and our customers.
·         Undergraduate degree in computer science, or related discipline, from an accredited college.
·         Willingness & ability to travel (Local & across the U.S.)
·         Candidates must be US Citizens with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level Security Clearance.
