Project Manager – Qatar
Houston, Tx

This position is contingent upon award of project

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provides Project Management leadership by directing the efforts of personnel involved in providing a variety of support to programs involved with US Army OCONUS activities (Director of Logistics, Supply, Transportation, Vehicle Maintenance, or Garrison Property Book Office.

 

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for operational performance, safety, and profitability of the assigned activity, department or function.  
  • Provides operational oversight to ensure work is accomplished according to customer priorities and in a timely and cost effective manner.  
  • Insures employee awareness and monitors compliance with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures.
  • Acts as primary company representative, coordinates activities involving the customer, other organizations, and/or company functions.
  • Responsible for defining training requirements, developing employee skills, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Develops and implements performance standards and internal controls.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree and 10-15 years of experience working in a US Army Director of Logistics position as a Field Grade Officer. 
  • Highly specialized skills, knowledge or techniques requiring some problem recognition, solution development and action step formulation within structured and/or defined judgment parameters a defined by the job. 
  • In addition to much organizing, work prioritization and related skills, supervisory skills are required for management/supervision of small staff of direct reports, including 2nd level supervisory structure. (Includes all first-line supervisors)
  • Previous assignments, and strong working knowledge of Army pre-positioned equipment storage and maintenance activities.
  • Experience in Lean sigma or process improvement techniques and methodology
  • Excellent communication, leadership ,and inter-personal skills

MANAGER – MATERIALS CONTROL
Ft. BLISS, TX.

This position is contingent upon Project award

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Manages, and supervises personnel within a supply support activity (SSA), Central Issue Facility (CIF), and Ammunition Supply Point (ASP), Food Service Support Office, and Petroleum Oil & Lubricants (POL). Supply Manager is responsible for implementing  STAMIS systems policy and functional procedures IAW Army supply regulations..

 

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of supplies and equipment at the technical supply or DSU level in accordance with established policies and regulations.
  • Plans requirements for stockage and control based on accumulation of demand data.
  • Controls management of operational float stocks to ensure compliance with Army policy.
  • Inspects supported units to ensure supply performance standards are being achieved.
  • Provides technical guidance to personnel of supported units/activities in order to assist, establish, and maintain adequate stockage levels for mission accomplishment.
  • Conducts periodic inventories of stockage supply items, initiates action for disposition of excesses, and makes recommendations for changes to the authorized stockage list (ASL).
  • Develops standard operating procedures and performs administrative duties related to the supply activity.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 years of US Army Supply / Logistic Management as a Logistics Officer/ Warrant senior Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) or DOD civilian with DOL leadership and management experience. 
  • Ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others. 
  • Skilled in written and oral presentations. 
  • Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing program or production requirements within available resources and with minimum sacrifice to quantity and quality of work. 
  • Ability to establish program objectives or performance goals and assess progress. 
  • Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of commands and DOD counterparts.

Supervisor – Equipment Maintenance
Ft. Bliss, Tx

 

This position is contingent upon Project award

 

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Organizes and coordinates the activities involved to maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including trucks, automobiles, diesel engines, etc. Ensures that equipment is maintained according to requirements.

 

DUTIES:

  • Utilizes Computerized Equipment Management System (SAMS-E) to monitor and control equipment maintenance.
  • Advises employees of proper operation and maintenance of equipment, trains new mechanics, and further develops skills of current workers.
  • Monitors equipment operation at job site and ensures that proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed.
  • Trains equipment operators in preventive maintenance procedures, supervises the Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Team (MAIT).
  • Orders and maintains an adequate inventory of parts and supplies including bench stock and shop stock to ensure timely maintenance. Promotes safety, Quality awareness, and teamwork.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Requires specialized training in diesel mechanics and equipment repair or equivalent experience, thorough knowledge of US Army field services equipment operation and maintenance, and a minimum of 10 years experience in field level maintenance.
  • Ten years general experience in management, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work in providing services to support a specified maintenance mission. 
  • Five years specialized experience in progressively responsible positions encompassing the Understanding of program planning, funds control, data collection and analysis, and control Techniques.
  • Broad knowledge of the organization and functions of a variety of maintenance functions to include equipment such as automotive.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of commands and DOD counterparts.

Operations Manager [OM&L] – Base / Installation and Facilities Operations and Support Services
Location: Houston TX or Arlington, VA.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepares and defines data needed for graphical representations to include facility layouts, proposal charts and tables, drawings, photo evaluation, call-outs, matrices, etc.
  • Drafts statements of work (SOW) and performance work statements (PWS), technical how-to solutions; defines benefits to client of proposed solutions.   
  • Evaluates pre-solicitations, technical exhibits and requests for proposal (RFP). Prepare questions to client addressing RFP and technical exhibit inconsistencies. Participates in proposal review teams as a subject matter expert.

 

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in management and operations of military and government installations including facilities; custodial services; reactive and preventive maintenance services; hazmat collection, removal and spill response; utilities systems operations and maintenance to include electrical (high voltage distribution, repair and maintenance), plumbing, lighting, sanitation, HVAC system and plant O&M; engineering and design services; environmental services to include hazardous material handling and operations, energy conservation, safety and health management; fire alarm repair, response & protection services; fire suppression systems; roads, airfield, railroad and drainage maintenance & repair; grounds and landscapes; snow removal and ice control; power production, distribution & power generator equipment; property book and real property asset and records management; refuse collection & disposal services; sanitary landfill operations; self-help  support operations; work reception and work order management and CMMS operations; and, working knowledge of ancillary installation operations, services and support functions.  
  • The successful candidate will have a broad level of installation and facilities services, operations and maintenance experience including significant knowledge of public works and its customer service interfaces and technical support requirements.
  • Must be fully capable of intermittent, extended, short-notice (72 hours) world-wide deployments to potentially hazardous and austere areas.
  • Knowledge of Army Management Information Systems.
  • Position skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree and a minimum of ten years of related field experience at a military or agency installation or major defense plant in a significant management role.
  • Civil Engineer or Facility Management undergraduate degree; professional certification is desirable but not required.
  • Able to attain a National security clearance at Secret or higher level.
