Northrop Grumman "Operation Impact" - Jobs for WW's and Family Members
Operation IMPACT (Injured Military Pursuing Assisted Career Transition) began in May 2005 as a Northrop Grumman initiative designed to provide career transition support to military service members and their families who have been severely injured. A grassroots program run independent from the company’s normal recruitment of veterans. In addition to providing support to the injured service member, if they are not able to work, the program offers career support to a member of the individual’s immediate family who will act as the primary wage earner.
Northrop Grumman has put together an extensive project team to:
• Identify opportunities for potential candidates;
• Meet with external organizations to describe the program and solicit candidates;
• Identify accommodations and training to help ensure the new hires success on the job; and
• Provide post-hire support
WW should start working with Operation IMPACT as soon as they have made the decision to transition to a civilian career and after visiting the Northrop web site below for potential positions and locations which align the WW skills with opportunities at NG.
