Implementation of CAP at WRAMC
How to obtain Assistive Technology (AT) for the WRAMC WT
Implementation of the DoD Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP) at WRAMC is a combined responsibility of the WTB Occupational Therapy (WTB OT) Ms. Sara MEISINGER (WTB OT Lead); and the company level OT’s: Ms. Lil Hasselman; Ms. Krysten Peterson; and Ms. Danielle Beddia.
This CAP is accomplished by the WT contacting their company level OT in conjunction with their NCM, to obtain a medical assessment & approval of their need—N.B. Primary Care Physician must also approve (sign-off) on the application for a particular piece of Assistive Technology (AT).
Once the approval from all three sources is obtained, the WT takes that approved form to the WRAMC Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) office in Building 1, 2nd floor, Room B220, and see Mr. Willie D. TUCKER, (202) 782-5100, who will either issue the AT device (e.g., a PDA) if he has it on-hand OR place it on order.
